Hampton 4's and 8's Head 2009

Dear Parents,

I hope this finds you well and ready for some rousing cheering on the river bank! Kerstin Olszowski  will be on the river bank around the finish line I believe, with refreshments for those who brave the January weather and would like to meet some of the other parents.

Below is some further details that may come in useful including a map! Crews will be confirmed on Friday depending on fitness.

Senior Boys will leave school at 10:40. Boating will be around 1:15pm and the race is at 2pm. We will leave Hampton by 4pm and be back at school by 6pm.

Parking: There is only limited space for trailers at Saddler's Ride Car Park. Please encourage spectators vehicles to park on the roads nearby (there are no parking restrictions in action, but please be courteous to the local residents). On arrival you will be directed as to where to park your trailer. Please do as you are told!

HAMPTON HEAD RACES (SMALL BOATS, FOURS AND EIGHTS)    MAP
The races are run on the Molesey stretch upstream of Hampton Court Bridge. All boating is from Saddler's Ride Car Park.       

The Race: The course is approx. 3000 metres downstream.

AFTER RACING
Food: Sandwiches, filled rolls and hot drinks will be on sale at the HHBCA refreshment tent, situated near to the Finish Line and near to the Trailer Park at lunchtime. Teas will be available free of charge to all competitors at Molesey Boat Club after racing.

Results: will be announced and prizes presented as soon as possible after racing. We hope this to be as close to 4.30pm as possible.
Would coaches please ensure that litter is picked up and that all toiletry requirements are completed in the privacy of the available toilets.

FIRST AID: Hampton School's Nurse will be on duty at the HHBCA refreshment tent (see map) from 9.30am until 4pm. In an emergency, she can be contacted on her mobile number (07765 255179). There are also First Aid boxes at Molesey Boat Club and at the Hampton/Holles Boathouse, or just grin and bear it.
